Heading into Post Season, Milwaukee was full of life and hope for the Brewers to continue on its winning path. And while it didn't fare well for the baseball team, Miller Park still had a stellar last weekend of September and put on an amazing event.
I had never been to Milwaukee, and being a pretty big Cubs fan, I knew this weekend was going to be full of new and interesting adventures. As a baseball lover at heart and "THE BIGGEST MILLER LITE FAN", I was more then excited to run Milwaukee, and not only see Miller Park, but get to run around the field!
A few of the highlights of the weekend and favorite parts of the race:
- Numerous hotels within 10-15min driving distance to Miller Park
- FREE PARKING AT EXPO AND ON RACE DAY!
- Packet pick-up was at Miller Park. Fans could also score 25% in the Brewers Fan Shop by showing their race bib.
- Great swag, love the medal!
- Getting a great view of different neighborhood in Milwaukee and running past the Miller Brewery
- Hello...FREE beer post race....and what beer? Miller Lite of course!
- Post Race Tailgate Party: stretching/massages, Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, great music and great photo ops.
- Awesome volunteers and on-course aid stations (thank you so much)
- And the highlight of the weekend was getting to run around the field inside Miller Park just as you are coming to the end of the race! Quite an experience!
I had a fantastic weekend. Great company, met up with a fellow BibRave Pro who was pacing the race, yummy food, plenty of beer was drank and stellar event. While I am not sold on this whole idea I can root for both teams, (Cubs will always have my heart #EVERYBODYIN), I will absolutely be back in 2020 to run 13.1 and take part int he 9th Annual Event.
